Reposition question?

By ozmodon, in Star Wars: Destiny

At zero cost I can see that they may of intended to allow the opponent to change one of their die (but). The card says force an opponent to turn a die to any side. So could I say force them to turn one of my dice with one blank to another side (IE not the blank) ? Seems like this may of been overlooked.

They can turn whatever die they want (yours or theirs) to any side. You're forcing them to turn "a" die, you're not choosing which die.

Then you turn a different die to any side (again, yours or theirs).

Don't think anything has been overlooked.

You're not really forcing them if they get to choose but yeah I get it.

You are

If they nut roll perfection, they'll be forced to downgrade it and then you can blank another

If you have only blanks, they gotta turn it into something else

Sorry as I am new to this game, why do they need to downgrade? Can you not change a die facing to the same side?

No, you cannot. When you turn a die, it must be turned to a different *physical* side.

SWD Rules Guide, "Turn (DIE)", Pg. 21

When turning a die, it must turn to a different side. A player cannot turn a die to the same side it was on before turning it. (If the die has the same symbol and value on two or more of its sides, it can be turned to an identical side).

You're forcing them to do *something*. In this case, the opponent gets to choose the die. This is to prevent your opponent from choosing to do *nothing*.
