Thrawn typically set to squad-squad-engineer. 7th Fleet VSDs with ECM on one, Brunson on the other, and an Engineering on demand can take a good bit of killing.

I won a tournament (27 or so total points) flying Sloane on a flagship Interdictor with Targeting Scramblers, DipCaps and G-8s, double VIC-1s with Ordnance Specialists, Assault Proton Torpedoes and X-17s, and two supporting Gozanties. Squadrons were a Howlrunner-backed TIE swam to fuel Sloane. I forget a few of the games. I do know I managed to first-last an ISD before it even got to trigger Avenger, simply using Sloane to target brace tokens and hammering with those painful red dice. I also took out an ISD + 2 VIC build by leveraging the Interdictor's stronger support strength and the Gozanti's activation strength.

Victorys (ies?) are incredibly strong for their cost, but akin to their X-Wing counterpart (Lambda Shuttle) they're lack of manoeuvrability leads to some very hard counters. Any objective-based lists have an innate advantage over VICs, and with spam of objectives like Firing Lanes can get a full win without ever firing a shot. There's really no counter for this, and without an Interdictor they'll be outmanoeuvred by just about anything into big loss after big loss. I could see triple VICs with Motti commander, backed by Dengar and spammed Decimators could be quite effective against Riekan and Mothma lists, alongside the heavy-hitters that hate to be peppered with damage.

How big a TIE Swarm are we talking here, sounds like it would be a fun list to try out, running the numbers I'm only seeing it at around 4 TIEs though. And I'm guessing that's with no Comms Nets on the flotillas and no title on the Interdictor?

Dang. I got my list wrong. It wasn't an Interdictor, it was an Arquitens as the command ship. That gave me enough points for, I believe 6 generic TIEs, Hwlrunner and Dengar as I now remember it.

Once the VICs have spammed the nave commands on turns 1-2, they're free on 3-4 to give out squadron commands/concentrate fire as they see fit.

I made this one a few weeks ago... Pretty sure you could replace a VSD with a GSD, but I wanted to use all my VSDs...

Raidrs become hyper maneuvetable with Jj.

Victory spams repair with Grint to bring back shields. 1Goz with repair to keep the flagship healthy.

Dominator for extra firepower and to make peeps go "WTF!?"

Had some luck with this a while back. My favorite game was when an opponent ragequit at the start of turn three when I got 3 doubles at long range and he didn't give his Sloane Avenger ECMs. ? Nowadays there are definitely some changes I'd make though...
