The HWK has the best jousting value of any turret, and Scum has access to a Howlrunner effect. Concept is simple enough- run away and punish anyone who chases.

In theory it's possible to fit a 5th spice runner with Drea, but Drea loses her ability to paint outside her front arc, ruining the point of the list. With the rest of the points from dropping the extra HWK, bombs and extra health on Drea is the order of the day.

My gut says that's too many seismic charges to effectively use. My understanding is they'll only explode when there's a nearby asteroid, and you've got 1 charge per rock. There's probably a bunch of ways to fiddle with the list, get more Protons and fewer Seismic. Heck, you might not want to have any Seismic Charges. You have turret ships, and Rocks probably interfere with enemies more than they hurt you. Drea with ICT and R2, each Spice Runner with a Proton Bomb would fit.

I always forget that seismics arnt just weaker protons anymore.

I'd default to mines or connor nets if planning on running away. Connor nets are especially nice as once someone starts getting tangled in a wall of connor nets it's hard to break out of it again, and they can't evade or reinforce whilst so trapped.

Also - I agree about the jousting value of HWKs unmodified, but with an Ion Cannon Turret and Veteran Turret Gunner, I'd be interested to see how a trio of Goons would do with Drea backing them up. The fact that - unlike Howlrunner - Drea doesn't need to be in formation with them lets you fly them as four independent heavy fighters, and with baked in rerolls, a Y-wing with its ion cannon locked forward is still a nice threat.

Ah, but a double tap Ywing isnt competing with HWKs, it's a front arc jouster with an arc it can rotate if it wants to lose something it spent points on. Same reason this list didnt make room for a Moldy Crow- it's good, but a different playstyle.

I played a game with seismics last night and they were actually very effective. Especially for the Y wing (assuming it doesn't eat it in the first engagement, which is a lot harder to do now) it can really help open up avenues and movement for later rounds. (I killed a defender by Ioning it an then dealing the last damage with the asteroid).

They are very different from 1.0 but because 2.0 is so different they are very effective. Enemies cannot barrel roll after an ion, and there are very few effects that auto do something anymore, and for being 3 points they are extremely cost effective.

Thats just my take though (and I had 2 y wings rather than one so ion was easier). It looks like a fun list!

I would also highly recommend agile turret gunner (have to proxy at this point as its in wave 2) over veteran. Unless you have consistent mods being able to rotate your arc for free really lets you play more unexpectedly. It might not be effective for this list but just in general what I got out of that game.
