Hey there!

Do you think this would work?

Luke Skywalker — X-Wing 62
Heightened Perception 3
R3 Astromech 3
Afterburners 8
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 76
Wedge Antilles — X-Wing 52
Crack Shot 1
R3 Astromech 3
Afterburners 8
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 64
Thane Kyrell — X-Wing 48
Crack Shot 1
R3 Astromech 3
Afterburners 8
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 60

I played against a similar list earlier this week. Same 3 pilots, but with a different set of upgrades. Proton Torps on 2 of them as I recall. It's solid.

I ended up winning while flying this 4X list.

Wedge Antilles — X-Wing 52
Crack Shot 1
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 53
Thane Kyrell — X-Wing 48
Marksmanship 1
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 49
Biggs Darklighter — X-Wing 48
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 48
Garven Dreis (X-Wing) — X-Wing 47
Crack Shot 1
Servomotor S-Foils 0
Ship Total: 48

Okay, thank you! I'm going to give your list a shot. Looks fun for sure.

This 4 x wing list looks really good. What did you have upgrades wise on your 3 x wing list?

I wonder if this might be slightly better if you switch the talents on Wedge and Thane. I think you really want whoever is shooting before Thane to get crits so Thane can flip them up.

Also, I think you have the points if you wanted to put Swarm Tactics on Thane, then Garven or Biggs could shoot before him as well.

The Swarm Tactics suggestion is a really interesting way to get Thane to proc, I'm going to have to try that.

Nah, the whole point of Thane is that he turns normal damage into crits. Because he gets to look and the cards and choose one to flip, you don't need to get crits beforehand to see what's been dealt, either.

Thane needs damage on the enemy to proc, so for everyone shooting before him you want to maximise the amount of damage they're pushing through. Crack Shot on Wedge is an amazing way to do that because you're cancelling two of their green dice no matter what. Meanwhile, Marksmanship on Thane makes sense because if you turn your hits into crits, and spend an eye to flip one of their existing crits the chances of stacking two powerful crits together goes up.

Although I like Crack Shot on Thane too, because if you're going to cancel a result, you may as well also make the most of the remaining hits you roll.
