Rebel counter to Imperial rogue spam

By Iskalonian, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Last game I had a hard time chewing through my opponents Empire list with an Interdictor, Gladiator and Gozanti list with Bossk, 2x Firesprays, Jendon, IG-88 and Morna Kee. I had a version of Erics (cannotgetyourshipout) Rieekan list with no Squadrons and a CR90 A instead of the third Hammerhead. I went all in for taking out his ships. Had the Interdictor down to 1 hull with a MC30 in front. Unfortunately he had swarmed my flagship and took out Rieekan so the Interdictor could kill the MC30 and move past it "unscathed". The list I had is good and with a better engagement I would have done better, but I want to try something else to counter a squadron heavy list with lots of hitpoints.

I choose Dodonna because he is cheap and works well with bombers. I want my squadrons to both be able to remove squadrons and be a threat to ships. My ships do not have a lot of firepower except for the MC30 which will be a flanker, the left hook. I've tried to pick objectives that let me control the engagement. Should perhaps drop Toryn for a bid (our small gaming group usually do not have bids below 394).

Any comment or advice will be much appreciated.

How is your opponent’s Demo set up? I run a very similar list with Kallus & Flechettes on the Demo and it would really hurt that fighter ball, especially without Rieekan.

Station Assault and Contested Outpost are bad choices against the Interdictor. He’ll gladly take first. I recommend VCXs and token oriented objectives.

I suggest you move Toryn to the GR75 to boost Yavaris flak, which you’ll need.

Good to know, just started the game 2 months ago. It is the Kallus Flechette Gladiator yes. Will look at adding the VCXs. I do feel it lacks a bit of punching power though.
