I miss the EU as well, mainly all the Imperial Warlord factions (Pentastar Alignment, Zsinj's Empire, Eriadu Authority, etc.) and the Imperial Remnant being more gray under commanders like Pellaeon.

As for video games Sony might get the exclusive rights from Disney to make Star Wars titles after EA's screw ups. I think the PS4 exclusive Spider-Man is test of a deeper relationship between Sony and Disney.

You can't help but get more excited for a release of a ship that was in the films as opposed to novels, video games, etc. Not saying that I don't enjoy Star Wars novels and games, but I think seeing a Raider chasing the Falcon or a Gladiators being escorts to ISDs would get people more interested in those ships.

No doubt. But that isn’t really going to be a factor when they are making a movie. It’s just something we have to accept as part of a niche hobby.

I was totally shocked, and very pleasantly so, when the raider showed up in a video game. I was sure the story group would have been ignoring stuff as fringe as a tabletop game.

I hope not, as I will never be able to play them, as i wont buy a Sony system just for starwars.

I just think that Sony has the best game studios for a range of Star Wars titles, like Naughty Dog, Guerrilla Games, Santa Monica, etc. I meant no offense to Xbox fans but who else could use the license to its fullest, Activision or Ubisoft?

I could really do with an Empire at War reboot, but Disney made a deal with the video game devil...

Me, and a lot of the modding community from EaW would be happy redeving EaW one just to fix issues that were hard coded into the game, like Rebel and Empire campaigns being left out of the expansion, or only 4 faction limit, and other hard coded limits.

Me personally, I would much rather see a Rogue Squadron game for PC, complete with mod support and a mission editor. I feel that would be the best thing to be released for a sw gaming community.

The Thrawn's Revenge modding team getting official support and resources would be my dream, the only weak areas are due to the engine limits.

I had quite a few cool ideas for mods, but according to a buddy who is a 1000% better at modding the game, cant be done due to hard coding limits.

Good example is replacing rebel X-Wing Production on Naboo with N1 Starfighters, or other lore based tech trees that would make more sense. Kuat giving Rebel and Imperial Venator cruisers for instance would be another cool addition.

Sega might not be a bad idea to give the license to, Creative Assembly might've done an EaW reboot.

I wouldnt mind sega getting it if it wasn't for the fact that Sonic, Phantasy Star Online, and Chrome Hounds have been being disrespected by the official devs for years.

Just a little thread necromancy.

Check out the Awakening of the Rebellion mod. N1s can only be built on Naboo, after you liberate it.

Many more things that were long believed impossible by the modding community.

It's nice seeing how many of the wishes in this thread came true (or are on the cusp of coming true). Clone Wars Armada! Starhawk! Your wish has been granted! It's actually really cool. I mean, who would have thought we'd get the Starhawk?

My wishlist:

1. Resurgent class (Pleeeeeease, FFG!)
2. MC85
3. Lucrehulk (Clone Wars Wave 3?)
4. Malevolence (Honorable Mention - Huge with side ignition arcs? Yes, please!)

Sony owns the rights to spider-man so they dont need to make any deals with Disney to make spider-man content outside of the MCU. So there wouldn't have been any deals concerning the spider-man PS4 game. And unfortunately last I heard Disney was very happy with there deal with EA.
