I have finally unpacked my Armada fleet at my new home in Ft. Leonard Wood MO. Now all I need are some friends to with let me know if you are that person or if you know that person!

I spent almost 3 years stationed at Fort Lost in the Woods, Misery. You have my condolences.

Sorry to hear that, but things could be worse. You could be stuck at Fort Huachuca like me.

Really? That's where my brother was stationed when he was in the Army. He works there now as a civilian.

Better than being stuck at Bragg. I would have reenlisted if they let me go anywhere else. But Branch said no.

I'd probably take Bragg again over Huachuca, and definitely over Leonardwood. And there are far worse possibilities available than all three of them (cough Irwin cough Polk cough). Bragg has a lot around it. You just have to escape the trap that is Fayettenam and get out to the surrounding area. I loved Raleigh and Durham. The OPTEMPO at Bragg is a little crazy, so I get disliking it, but I've been in the Army long enough to know every unit has its frustrating parts. I loved my unit at Bragg despite the insanity that often characterizes the rest of the 82nd.

Now excuse me while I enjoy the easy life at Meade

Agreed. After three rotations at NTC and one at JRTC, those are the two places that I hope to never go back to.

There is a little FLGS at the PX on Leonard Wood. It's an offshoot of Eclipse in Rolla. I am hoping I can use that as a spring board.

Man I did not realize so many of our community were military. I'm currently a cadet at West Point. Makes finding time to play **** hard haha.

Stinkin’ Army. Now Bethesda as a Corpsman, that was awful ? . More officers than enlisted.

Class of 16 here. Yeah, you probably won’t find anything anywhere near you. The nearest place I found with a consistent community was Gamers Gambit in Connecticut as a firstie (forget the name of the city). I forget if it was 1 or 1.5 hours. But there was a Chick-fil-A at the mall nearby, so it was totally worth the drive.

Found a person today thanks to Obsidian Squadron FB group! Great game we did Sloan v. Sato and Sato took it! I also may have convinced one of my neighbors/coworkers to jump in as well. The FLW Armada group begins here! Never give up, never surrender.

There's a small but pretty consistent group in St Louis as well. Feel free to add our facebook group (st. louis armada, very original), we have tournaments every other month or so. if nothing else it'll let you know when our store championships and regionals are

KC has a page too, I've found having a couple pages liked in the area helps attend events

and if you're looking to drag people into armada nothing works better than the corellian conflict.
