This list packs a number of redundancies into it for putting the hurt on big ships, with the overly expensive Raider ready to pin down a flight of squadrons for a brief turn. I'm confident in my ability to deal with squadrons in this list. Where I'm less confident is my ability to take on the recent scourge of Raddus bomb fleets. I'm wondering if there's a smart play here for taking those down, either through firepower or maneuver. I'd also like opinions on if Motti might be a better pick, though I'm concerned that he can't effectively reengage the enemy fleet once he's been slipped past.

If specifically looking to counter Raddus… with 5 activations you could try swapping strat advisor with something to fix your command dial (support officer, vet capt) on the ISD to avoid getting chamed to 3 rounds of squad commands... this is also dependant on how strong your bid is vs most raddus builds you see. Since vs Raddus you will usually want the ISD to go first, you could swap avenger with sovereign to counter the cham a bit also (make any token a nav)..

I think Jerry is stronger than motti for this if you are running at speed 3 (or 2 with a nav) with jerry you can get out of any double arc and possibly out of close range depending how the 75 is dropped. Motti is much easier to keep in your sights, and neither is likely to be one-shotted but if you are 2nd player could both be dropped on the next turn's first activation.

Most of these hurt you against almost any other fleet tho, which is the real issue with raddus in tournaments.. building to fight him means making poor choices to most other builds

In fairness, my "solution" to enemy squads is the Raider sacrificing itself to keep enemy squadrons tied up for 1-2 turns. But im expecting to also see more no-squad fleets this time.

For a good Raddus bomb list you don't need much in the way of anti-fighters. If the fighters really matter they are dropped with launch bays for the drop-kill.

Oh definitely. To kill Raddus you need engagement. And Raddus is the master of refusing engagement.
