Glyphs

By Lowecore, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Can each hero use an activated glyph once per turn, meaning all heroes can use the same glyph to escape the dungeon in any one turn, or can only one hero use an activated glyph and its " exhausted " until the next turn, stranding the other 3 members?

Can a glyph be activated and used in the same turn?

What are runes exactly? Are they mostly weapons or are they like decals that get placed on weapons? There has been some discussion on why weapon runes have 2 hand symbols on they but they pictures don't look like weapons but rather like tablets or decals or something.

Yes, each hero can use it once per turn so all could use the glyph to escape the dungeon. But they may only use one glyph per turn regardless of how many activated glyphs there are. So no going into a glyph, going to town, and then coming back into the dungeon in the same turn.

Yes, in the base game they can be activated and used in the same turn.

Rune are magic weapons. They are not added to weapons. They have the 2 handed symbol to represent that they take up two hands worth of equipment slots. As for the pictures, depends on your definition of what a weapon should look like. Not uncommon in fantasy settings for a tablet or book to be a powerful weapon.

Most runes are magical weapons. Some of them are "other" items. Whatever the card says.

To clarify regarding glyphs, each hero may use one glyph to teleport once per turn. Heroes are not constrained to using the same glyph (each hero could use a completely different one), and a single hero cannot teleport twice in a turn (for example, visiting town and coming back) even if they use the same glyph both times. The limit is on the number of teleports per hero, the number of glyphs involved is irrelevant.
