I have been very excited to finally get into X-Wing. For years I was pretty intimidated by the level of complexity and the weight of actually playing X-Wing First Edition, but now I am so ready to jump right into a fresh, new experience. I have been list building and practicing movement skills on Tabletop Simulator as well as been watching numerous batreps to really get into the games technical side.

Currently I have just Saw's Renegades (already own) and the Core Set (pre-ordered) because my list involves the Two-Tubes.

My only worry is that I won't be able to find many players to play with. I live very close to Boston so I assume there are stores, but I really want to get into competitive play and I have no idea where to look for that. I specifically want to go to the Launch Parties to get some of those sweet full arts, but I don't know what stores to go to or where to look to find those hosting the event.

Everything is ordered. I’m waiting until our last store champ this weekend to wipe out my 1.0 stuff.

I have my core set, 3 conversion kits, a Y-Wing and 2 X-Wings pre-ordered. This weekend I'm going to be re-organizing my organizers for the new break downs

I have a core set on pre-order, but that's it at the moment.

I've got mixed feelings, because I stopped playing the game some time ago, but when going through my old collection, it hit me how much I still love the miniatures. I'm excited about Second Edition, but for now it's going to be more about new stuff and miniature collecting. I'm looking forward to the articulated X-Wing, for instance.

Look on Facebook for a local X-Wing group. From what I’ve seen most cities/states have an x-wing community that actively maintains a facebook presence, and this will be your best place to look for local stores and events. Good luck!
