My preference for wave 8 would be a Medium Rebel ship and a small Imperial ship but I suspect they will be small ships on both sides. Commander balance is an issue, I don't think they can solve that with a small ship wave. Ship inbalance is not much of a concern for me. The Imperials are the government and the more organized faction so in my mind they should have fewer more powerful ships where the Rebels are scrounging for what they can find. Therefore there fleet should be more varried but on the whole have a bit less firepower.

I don't mind so much a imbalance by ships (until now rebels had 2 models and 2 variants more), or squadrons (imperials having the gauntlet more), or commanders in the game. But I feel a bit uneasy with the imbalance of unique officer upgrade cards. Rebels have only 10, while empire had 14. With SSD Expansion there will be 20 named officer cards. Then there will be 2 imperial officers for each rebel character.

How do you guess the weight of something floating in space, especially with so many different planets it could theoretically be on? Let's guess its mass, instead.

I like to drink while playing Armada as much as the next guy, but I try to avoid hallucinogens.

How annoying would it be to play Armada in zero g? Bump the models and off it goes...

New ships is a much higher priority for me than new squads. We already have probably too many squad options (at this point it's 4 different ways to run all the wave one squads, 5 for the starter box squads, and 2 for every other type of squad, which brings us to 68 different squadron options), but new ship options, especially for some of the older and/or less-used ships, would be welcome.

I think if they planned to call it Wave 8 we'd know that by now because it would have been in the banner image they released with the ship and its article. That said, I'm considering it Wave 8 because from a game expansion perspective that's what it is. Same as how really Corellian Conflict was part of Wave 5 (by my reckoning anyway).

Waves 3 and 4 came out really close together after a huge wait, which was a surprise. I don’t expect it, and the more you want it, the less you should either. But the chance of further content definitely isn’t zero.

I hope we get a wave 8 anouncements this fall.

I Expect an anoucement next year. The SSD is like the blockade Runner for wing. Not part of a wave. Also I believe swm28 will be a rebel huge ship and is probably a year or two from release.

as it is called SWM20, it has been on the bench for quite a long time (just after the flotillas). Propably because early versions were broken or OP, so it will be no wave 8, hopefully....

can't wait for any sort of anouncement, please come Fall!
