Weight wait

Has anyone heard the status of wave 8? Is SSD part of it? Are rebel only players just going to get doinked until after the SSD comes out? Don't know.

Don't tell me

No one has any clue, but this does not seem to be part of wave 8.

FFG has not called this wave 8 so I have no reason to expect only a SSD as Wave 8.

If it's possible to get the plans to the death star it should be possible to infiltrate ffg headquarters and get the wave 8 plans. Whose with me?

The Rebels having one more ship than the Empire because of the extra Neb in the starter set. But throughout the game's life there have always been the same number of commanders per faction.

The SSD equals out the number of ships but adds two new commanders so I assume the Rebels will get something - probably not a huge ship but something with extra commanders.

A commander fix for the Neb would be made of win.

I'm with you. Gonna grab the X-Wing Clone Wars stuff if I can too. ?

FFG seems to group their waves by announcement, not release. So Wave 3 was flotillas and Wave 4 was Liberty/Interdictor, even though they effectively released at the same time.

Do keep in mind two of those commanders are

so really, it just means the factions are equal now ? .

I thought this thread was going to be about the weight of the SSD.

Who wants to take a guess at the weight of the SSD? Closest guess wins nothing.

I mean technically. Chimera put the Rebels 2 ships ahead.

Well, if you count total number of variants, they are equal (Empire has two more if you count the epic SSD variants).

And the empire has one more squadron (two if you count uniques separately) and now two more commanders.

To be fair, Konstantine is 2-0 against me this year. So take that to heart, Armada Bros! Statistically, you have a good chance of beating ME if you take him! And isn't that worth playing Konstantine? Putting me in my place?

....no?

To be fair, I played Dodonna last week and I'm playing Raddus next like a common @Truthiness .

I feel dirty doing so, haha.

And I make no promises for Fall Regionals....

I mean, it's not like I won a store championship with Sato or anything. Oh wait, I did. At least when I do odd ball commanders, I actually win.

Sato? Mainstream. I played Sato before he was cool and before he was worth playing (ie pre hammerheads).

Find a way to make Konstantine work and I MIGHT respect you....

I played Sato before people said he was bad. And then I kept playing Sato to prove their point.

Personally I'm expecting wave 8 to be something small production-wise. Like a new campaign box, because there are no miniatures in it, only paper. I think everybody would be happy with that, both factions could get a few new cards, they even could pack a few upgrade cards in there. And there you have a perfectly good new wave with minimal financial investment, and you even could justify it because of the extra work the SSD models put on the company.

I am 99% positive that the SSD is not wave 8. It is like the Correllian Conflict, a stand alone non-wave release.

My preference for wave 8 would be a Medium Rebel ship and a small Imperial ship but I suspect they will be small ships on both sides. Commander balance is an issue, I don't think they can solve that with a small ship wave. Ship inbalance is not much of a concern for me. The Imperials are the government and the more organized faction so in my mind they should have fewer more powerful ships where the Rebels are scrounging for what they can find. Therefore there fleet should be more varried but on the whole have a bit less firepower.

Concur. I would like them to release another campaign that includes uniques and aces for the Imperial and Rebel Squadron II packs.
