Docked/not Docked (Scum Falcon) and use of Escape Craft

By Cgriffith, in X-Wing Rules Questions

For OP if you equip the title with the Scum Falcon do you see it as a “requirement” that the Escape Craft is docked, if you’re using it (the title) for the extra shields and shot. I saw in a LGS not only say his opponent needed to equip it but say if he didn’t his opponent could not benefit from the title, due to confusion it may bring ... (stating that the title is specific in its use)

No. You can start docked or not, but it's not a requirement to do so.

C.f. the language on the Nashtah Pup for how it would be written if starting docked were required.

So you don't think it'll be an issue at all? Okay. I was surprised last night when it arose myself but I guess anything is possible. Nashtah Pup couldn't actually fit in the ship though as well. Either way if you think it's not an issue that'll good as an argument ensued last night which will not anymore.

This leads to another question. The scum Han Solo quick build has Tobias Beckett on the escape shuttle. If it starts docked, then it starts in reserve and all its abilities are inactive. Does this mean that you can't use Woody to move a rock? Although you could work around it anyway by starting the shuttle undocked, then self bumping and redocking turn 1. Just seems a lot of extra steps.

In explaining my question I now think I answered it, but I'll put it here anyway.

So... if Tobias Beckett is important in your strategy don't use him on a docked ship...
