Should they have made Yoda and Obi-Wan crew for 2.0?

Oh my god that's perfect.

I mean, it needs a 'you may' in there and the idea of him being a modification is a bit weird but yeah, that's everything I was asking for.

Probably also needs a timing window specified but I'm lazy.

Force Talent was the other slot I considered but, while it's marginally more thematic it's also more limited and I feel like ghost Obi-Wan should be able to latch onto basilica anything with force points. Also I think instinctive aim is supposed to be the talent that emulates the same sequence.

Start of engagement would probably do.

But you could make it super useful if you said it was immediately after rolling dice. Rolled all eyes and locked instead of focus? Just discard the lock and spend two Force. Kinda like 1e Han crew.

Yeah, agreed. Ghost Obi-Wan makes most sense when paired with IA, as it should be. "Oh, that guy I locked dodged me, but I can shoot at this guy instead. All I have to do is discard my lock with Obi-Wan so I have Force points to use on both firing the torp and modifying one eye."

I'm a cranky old guy, but I believe Yoda has no business *at all* being in a space ship game, even as crew, just like Yoda has no business using a lightsaber. Wars not make one great.

Yoda
Passenger
Setup: Assign the "Mine, or I Will Help You Not" condition to a friendly ship.

Mine, or I Will Help You Not
Condition
Before the Activation Phase, you may discard this condition to move one upgrade on this ship to a ship carrying Yoda.

^He knows what's up.

Better question, will the addition of Clone Wars factions bring us the next level of "Trust No One" from Scum Fenn and Rebel Fenn; Chancellor Palpatine AND Darth Sidious crew?

While another friendly ship defends or performs an attack, you may spend 1 (force) to modify 1 of its dice as though that ship had spent 1 (force). [+1 Force, regenerates]

Yoda crew will be the Palpatine/Jabba/Snoke of the Republic and will almost definitely happen. I'm also really hoping that we get Yoda's tiny TIE Interceptor-looking Starfighter. I can't remember if he actually did any fighting at the controls in the Clone Wars series but it was definitely in there so it's canon.

Ghost Obi-Wan:

Rebel, Modification

Discard your Lock to regenerate all your force Charges.

You could change the upgrade type to a Force Power, too.

I would even take it further and do it like this:

At the beginning of the Engagement Phase, you may discard your Lock to regenerate all of your Force Charges.

When attacking, you can spend any amount of Force Charges to re-roll that many attack dice.

This way you'll still have an option to get a re-roll at the cost of Force you've just regenerated. Or too strong maybe?

Why not just "you may spend a target lock to gain a focus token"

Useful when you roll two or more focus results or all hits and have a lock.

Because it was originally supposed to emulate the famous scene in which Luke turns off the targeting computer to "Trust his feelings" instead.

Thus Lock loss and Force retrieval.

On that note, congratulations to the OP yet again, nailed it when it comes to fluff - gameplay transition.

That's nice but he would only work with Luke and would not be equipable as crew to his X-wing.

Thematically Luke gunner plus obi crew on the falcon works, but Luke gunner is not a competitive card, in fact Luke gunner seems to be a dislike or just about tolerated card based on these forums.

Obi-wan is rebels only (at least as far as force ghosts go) and the rebels have only got Luke as a force user.

I guess as a force upgrade designed for Luke it makes sense. But I prefer the cards to be useful for other ships too.

Why can't Obi be helping a force sensitive pilot belive and trust in the force, thereby discard a lock and gain a focus token.

Plus as Luke regens a force when attacked, unless Luke has zero focus tokens and rolled only one eyeball and a two hits, getting a focus token is just as good

They also have Kanan and Ezra as Force users.

You are correct, how did they slip my mind.

Eh, still getting use to thinking of the classification of Force User myself, so it took me a minute to remember them as well.

I was just about to post this and say I fully expect to see it appear at some point. I expect Obi-Wan to be a pilot for the Jedi Starfighter too. Really wouldn't surprise me to see crew versions of both either, especially if we get Epic ships from that era.

I’m guessing the OP didn’t know the PT factions are coming?

How goo would it be if Yoda was a half crew slot and allowed you to add in another half crew slot from future waves like an Ewok!
