2E: Scum 5 Ship (Torkhil, Drea, tres scyks)

Here is a scum 5 ship list Im eager to try. Torkhil drops enemy to zero even from range 3, and drea gives all the HLC scyks rerolls. Drea gets full mods by locking, then han crewing, and r4 to clear the stress.

How would you fly it? Would you be 'spread betting' with the Cartel Spacers hoping to line up at least one target in the bulls eye?

Probably something like above (assuming setup in bottom right corner). 2 cartels up front, then one behind in between. Gives a wide triple bullseye to catch something. Torkhil leads front of drea, since torkhil ability needs to go off same as Cartels firing. Drea needs to be range 1 of Cartels, so cant spread too much.

Ha! That's nearly what I had in mind while reading the Scyk thread. I dig it man! My version had Suhlak by his lonesome, causing trouble from the flank. He'd make great bait or a nuisance flanker.

Not yet. Only got 1 game in last week and that was tie bomber swarm (awesome btw).

I played my first game last night, but it was on TTS, as I don't have any 2.0 stuff yet. Nice game too

A friend of mine was running something similar, but 2x dorsal turret/vet turret gunner Y Wings instead of the 3x Sycks. I believe he had a proton bomb on one of them too.

It was super nasty and dominated the mid game. If he could survive vs the initial joust he just wins. And this is a guy that generally finishes 2-2 or 2-3 in tourneys. He's currently like 8-2 with it even against our better local players. Seems like he's on to something and I do rate the double tapping Y's as being more consistently damaging than the bullseye Syck's.

I ran HLC Scyks not that long ago. HLCs are cheap but R3 target def bonus with no R1 attack bonus + require bullseye are bug drawbacks...especially if you are flying low I. I’d rather spend the points and get better gear.
