GM's toolkit already out of copies!

FFG rarely, if ever come forward with this kind of information. Nor do other RPG companies, especially when it's not their fault. If FFG makes a mistake they can come forward and say "sorry, we screwed up, my bad". When the distributors misjudge demand FFG keep their mouths shut. Telling the fans "hey, not our fault, the distributors screwed up" annoys the companies they have to do business with and most irate fans will just think that FFG are trying to shift blame onto someone else.

I know. Wasn't saying it was a stupid move on their part. Just saying we'd probably never know.

It's obviously a bad idea to throw your distributors under the bus.

Here in Toronto Canada two downtown stores, both of which still have core set in stock, one players kit, neither have it in stock yet. One says it will be week or two due to some screw up with distributor.

An alternative reason for the delay in getting copies may be customs. Apparently a shipment of DH and RT books has been held by customs for some reason in the UK, if the GM toolkit was part of the same shipment...

Curses. I'll bet it will be the same thing here in Ottawa. None of the stores here have it or know WHEN they'll be getting it.

I was lucky enough to order mine from TheWarstore.com a couple of weeks ago and it rocked up yesterday!!! I was going to hold off but I'm glad I didnt. Dont know how long it would be if I waited for it to actually appear on the shelves here in Oz.

Most online stores in the US seem to have it in stock.

But the game is selling well, I mean the Adventure Kit has gone out of stock twice already it appears. Perhaps they are being cautious to start but if it continues as so they will need to start upping their production runs.

Perhaps its been held up because the GM toolkit is in there and there is some indecision over its status as a book and the duty payments for import?

Ascension and Lure Of The Expanse both came through to the UK fine, I picked my copies up yesterday, but no sign of the Warhammer GM's Toolkit. We don't tend to have problems with the DH/RT stuff (although we get it a couple of weeks after you guys in the US).

Esdevium aren't the sole distributors of FFG stuff as far as I'm aware, I'm reasonably sure that Leisure Games handle their own stuff and don't rely on Esdevium, for instance. Regardless, neither of them have the Toolkit. Seems a bit odd.

I just bought a copy from a local shop in Finland. Maelstrom still says it can't be delivered... Weirdest sh*t ever.

Esdevium who must supply Maelstrom are not getting the GM tool kit out till thursday 22nd, I'm sure it will go into stock with Maelstrom by the weekend.

I have just spoken to maelstrom as I have (had) it on pre-order, but they still seem unsure about when they will get it from their supplier. They couldn't give me a date when they'd get it in, so I've cancelled and ordered from IGUK who do have it in stock and are already in the process of dispatching

Bit of a shame as Maelstrom are the equivalent of my FLGS, even though i order on line, but I have waited long enough for these two products and can't really wait any longer..!
