Speeder bikes
It's a little hard to see a bunch of detail due to the lighting, but from what I can see they look pretty solid! The masks came out very well.
Something that may help the bedroll is adding another thin layer of that lighter brown.
Also if you are a fan of contrast, you could do thin gray-ish lines on the Scout's armor to have it pop a little more.
..yes...solid werk!....thanks for sharing!...
Looking very good from what I can see. A little shading on the trooper armour will help it come alive.
These look great so far. You have done a really nice job laying down a clean base coat.
Fir most minis, a color matched or even a black or brown shade really brings out the details and is both easy and (I feel) really improves the overall look of the miniature. However, the white armored Imperials present a big challenge. You have a few choices:
The “traditional” way - is to use a dark wash and cover the whole mini. Optionally you can swab the wash off flat portions or areas you want to highlight. However, this will generally look pretty dirty unless you spend a lot of time highlighting most of the mini back “up” to white, leaving the recesses shades.
Alternatively, you can dilute the wash and/or apply it sparingly to recessed areas and edges. This should leave you with much less work to do afterwards.
The Biker Scouts are better than the Stormtroopers. But think about how much effort you want to put into them before you shade them.
Have fun!
Awesome work. I loved painting my speeder bikes. I went for a clean scout trooper with mild weathering on my bikes. I go for a Kenner/Hasbro look for all my miniatures. Again they look great. Look forward to more pictures of your miniatures.
Thank you everyone for the kind words. Was a bit nervous posting them, it's my first time really painting minis. Hopefully I can do the rebels next, I'm not happy how my stormtroopers are turning out:(

Stormtroopers are the worst. No one is happy with how they turn out, but they all look like stormtroopers and once you stop agonizing over it you will realize they look good enough to play with.
