It's a little weird to label the E-wing as overcosted after comparing its jousting efficiency to a dedicated jouster. Of course it's not as efficient; it's not supposed to be, because it wasn't designed as a jousting specialist. The math says that if you want to bring a jousting piece you'd be getting less bang for your buck by bringing an E-wing over an X-wing, and that's it. Trying to read more into it is a reach until you actually start seeing how ships perform on the table.

Meh. My experience with the E-Wing was just asking myself after to game "Could an X-Wing have done that?" The E-Wing was a little stronger on the initial joust, but short of that extra green dice coming up way more than it really should, it was basically just an X-Wing. It's not bad, but nowhere near a 20+ point upgrade.
