Infernosaurus Rex

I've got the name. Now I need to make the squad work.

Rexlar Brath, Iden Versio, Del Meeko, and Gideon Hask are 184 points bare.

What to do with them?

Outmaneuver look nice on Rex, but is 6 points. Then possible HLC? 4 points so I've got 6 left.

Do the TIEs need anything?

Open to thoughts. Not on pilots! I want to keep them as much as possible. Or the name won't work :)

Crack Shot seems like the best elite for most TIEs, and spending more than 1 point on them seems... maybe excessive? Totally can be skipped, though. I know you said no new pilots, but Seyn Marana (with Marksmanship) also is an Inferno. I don't know if I'd like her more than Gideon or not; it'd need to be seen on the table, but it's cool the way she can enable Del Meeko through shields.

Advanced Sensors seems wicked tempting on Defenders, but pricey. Collision Detector might work; often some of your best moves will be blocked by rocks. Going with Juke over Outmaneuver also could work. Better when head-on, since either it does damage or strips a focus token, which is great for the mini-swarm follow up. Worth noting: I don't think Outmaneuver works with HLC. One is a Bullseye attack, the other specifies front-arc attacks. Juke would work with HLC.

I was hovering over crack shot. Could be very handy in chipping away, though bullseye is something I've learned not to chase too hard.

Seyn is an Inferno, but I've got a love for the guy who plays Gideon. It's 'rule of cool' I know, but I think between the ships I'll be putting damage in so he should benefit.

Juke and Cool Detector looks good and opens things up I think. The longer something can survive the more shots it can make.

CS on the Infernos and Juke/Col would leave me with 4 points. A little bid never hurt anyone :)

Tbh I would have agreed with Seyn over Gideon. Seyn is kinda a lynchpin for Gid and Del.

I think Juke on Rex, Marksmanship on Seyn, and CollDet, then a couple Cracks, would be REALLY solid

Crack Shot doesn't seem too bullseye-chasing to me, it's just that non-Bullseye Talents start at 4 points (almost certainly too pricey) with Juke and Lone Wolf, and 1pt Crack Shot is going to be a lot better than 2pt Predator. Heck, I think that's probably true for almost every ship out there. Wedge and Soontir I'd favor Predator over Crack Shot, but otherwise? Chances for Bullseye are going to be rare enough that loading all the power of the Talent into a single use makes sense, even on a ship like a B-Wing which is likely to be around a while longer than a TIE Fighter.

200 points. No bid, but what goes on Rexlar could change. Seyn is a good shout, and Marksmanship backs up her ability. Which Gideon then uses. Iden saves a good hit, and Rex just takes names!

I like the list @SDCC and the name is great! I had come up with a similar list, except I didn’t have a Gideon hang-up! ?

This does away with bullseye related effects but gains rerolls from Howl on the attack. The one element from your version I wish I could wedge into this list is Collision Detector on Rexler. I’ve found HLC’s to be hard to line up but that’s probably because I’m not very good.

I hope ace+swarm lists work well out in the wild...

I've been considering this same list.

Ace+swarm is my preferred style. I'd love it if this was something I could stick with and work with.

That ten points for Howl does limit things but the rerolls could be more than worth it.

Gotta remember to try this out when I get my conversion kit. :)

I might be proxying it on Thursday night. If I do I'll let you all know :)
