Shieldwolf's Painted Legion (New pictures 3-3-20)

By Shieldwolf72, in Painting

This is my painted army so far. I will try to add more pictures as I get more units finished. Rustoleum primer, craft paint and cheap artist's acrylics with Army Painter washes.

Thanks for looking, any feedback would be appreciated.

...nice werk!...reminds me of battlefront-II....

Fantastic all round. What at at are you using. Seems to be in good scale with the at st

The At-At is the Disney popcorn bucket, but the AT-ST is en old AMT/ERTL model so may be smaller than the official FFG one.

Those are so awesome! Wonderfully painted miniatures and that is one of coolest if not the coolest terrain setups I've ever seen.

Thanks! I will try to post some better pictures of my table when I get a chance.

Awesome work on everything. Was the Quarren a head swap or self made. Really digging the camo work on the rebel soldiers.

The Quarren was a head swap from the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Miniatures. I have some alien heads I ordered from Mel's Miniatures (Shapeways) for my next trooper unit.

More to come (I'm slow).

Your AT-RT#2 looks amazing. Nice paint job on the walker and head swap. I did a set of head swaps for a full squad of Fleet Troopers. I plan to mix in the unused Fleet Trooper heads into my other Rebel squads.

Wow incredible paint jobs

The walker with the face like WWII planes blow me away... ?

Man why I did not have so an great Idea for my walkers ;)

I love the Endor table! How did you make the big trees?

Thanks for all the comments. The large trees are paper towel tubes covered in papertowel and toilet paper with watered down white glue. Then I used a hot glue gun for texture. I based them off of this Youtube tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ-ZvGMnTIM . I just didn't do the branches.

Awesome work all round mate.

Great job on your new posts. I love the head swaps. Were the Mon Calamari arms custom made because they look great.

I use cheap acrylic craft paint and mix my own colors. The Guard undersuit base coat was "wine" with a touch of bright blue, washed with army painter strong tone, and then highlighted with a lightened base coat (white added).

Great stuff man. It all looks really nice. I’m a big fan of the detail work you did on the power generator for the Imperial Artillery. It’s kind of a boring sculpt and the gun itself is the least impressive mini in Legion as far as I’m concerned (badly made, big gaps and poor alignment). But the detail work you did adds so much to the unit.

how did you get the imperial Logo onto the speederbikes pilots shoulderpads? are they stickers or did you paint them by hand?

I just printed the logo on "onion skin" paper (super thin, mostly transparent), cut it out and used clear matte medium to adhere it to the model. The "face" on my AT-RT was done the same way. I put the imperial log on the unit leader shoulder for my bikes, scouts, and snows and a rebel logo on my rebel trooper/commandos unit leaders shoulder.
