Found this video from the "Back to Dials" people on how to fix the X-wing X-foils. I gave it a try and it really works,

Props to those guys on discovering it.

Yep, this video saved me from destroying another Partisan X-wing. Now I have two well behaved X-wings with working s-foils.
Mine being left in the hot car seemed to fix the problem as well. lol
Why did the manufacturers squirt all that gunk in there in the first place? ?

To give us something to do while waiting for 2.0
For the record I just followed the vid myself and + one happy flappy X-wing.
Yup, I did the job successfully today, and I've never done any model work before. The only thing I'll say is to make sure you have the smaller, finer X-acto to split the seam.
Yuppers, 2 on the left are Saw's Renegades and the 1 on the right is the 2.0 T-65. Same wing range of motion now.

Same here. Great video!
Just gotta' be careful when re-gluing that it doesn't glue you S-foils into position!
Makes me wonder if you could stick something in to make it snap into pace in one of two positions.

That almost happened to me, but luckily I noticed the S-foils starting to stick so I wiggled them around while the super glue started to set. Turned into a happy accident because now whatever texture/surface the drying glue created in there makes the S-foils stay in place without the stretchy/bouncy feel of the original glue.
