Any help thinking about this list... I like whisper and really want to use her. I think that Kallus makes it interesting and as a team, the 3 ships can demolish individuals.

Whisper has no natural TL. You need krennic on board for the TL action. Because of the Defenders being so expensive I don’t think you should put so much stuff on them. Especially HLC which is hard to trigger.

I’m also not sold on afterburner whisper (basically because I didn’t tried her). I would leave the mod a lot open and save the points.

If I should build a list with Phantoms and defenders I would play echo+whisper+rexler (all with juke)

Thanks for the feedback! I was making the list at 1 AM, so it was not very good. I have thought some more and I think this would be a lot of fun.

Optimize the TIE Fighter and let it deal 2 damage every turn. I think it is a really good combo. I am allowed to spend the die for Optimized prototype first right? 2 free damage seems very good. they also may want to get rid of that source of damage, so it takes fire off of my "endgame" guys.

I think you're on to something. I've played a decent amount of 2.0 Whisper, and love Adv. Sensors, but if you go the FCS Krennic route, I think Vessery is the best way to get more bang for your buck. If you do Juke Vessery, that leaves you with 44 points, which is enough for a naked Countdown, Predator Duchess, Tomax with PT and Crack. Just an idea.

Just wouldn't bother with fcs krennic or fcs on general without free actions. Too much set-up with very little payoff.

Advanced Sensors is gold on a phantom, and collision detectors is amazing clutch and unpredictable on anyone (but especially a defender that wouldn't be able to kturn because there's a rock in the way...and who can also boost/roll)

Also wouldnt put tractors on the incredibly expensive defender. Need to kill stuff with it.

If you can fit Vader, it puts a real target on whisper...but it's also really **** spiffy

Rexler's ability is kinda neat (noting that you almost surely can't trigger it in the first round of engagement), but if there's one thing I've learned from 1e, it's that even lower-level TIE Defenders can be effective. Likewise, various upgrades seem good, but none seem truly vital, other than Juke. So this list has a whole extra TIE fighter, who can slip damage in under shields to activate Del, and there's still a pretty unified Initiative cluster, with three ships at Init 4. Heck, you could even swap Whisper for Echo, but there would be literally nothing worth doing with the other 2 points.

The thing is, I really like how easy it is to get 2 unblockable damage through with seyn and I need Krennic for that.

Marksmanship Seyn and Juke Rexler is definitely a combo, I'm very interested in trying it out.

It did alright, and I managed to get the combo off 3 times! I got really unlucky on 3 attacks, all 4 dice, at the end of the game and ended up losing, but that is what luck is. I did think HLC for sure can be removed, but I managed to get it 5 times. the weakest part was Tarkin, but I switched him to Sloane who really helps against linked and other stress targets.
