When you play a card from your hand, it does NOT count itself for progressive difficulty.
Yes, progressive difficutly counts cards in the card pool. Yes, YMiKtM is in the card pool physically. However you are trying to get it to be in two places at once. The card itself states where it thinks it is as it's being played. This card is not Schrodinger's cat.
Those other cards are played from the card pool.
We are in the midst of reworking the tournament rules. (I'm fairly certain I've said that elsewhere in this thread.)
Hopefully you will find the reworked tournament rules to your liking, and they will hopefully clear up this "paradox" that you are experiencing.
