Quick question: If a ship gets an Ion token and a stress token the same round during the combat phase, the following round, assuming a small base ship, the Ion comes off but the stress can't because no dial was set correct?
Ion and Stress

The ship would move as if assigned a 1-white straight. Stress only comes off if you do a green (Or blue in 2.0) maneuver.

Also in 2.0 the ionizaton move is a 1 blue straight, so hitting ships with both is less effective.
Edited by HiemfireGood thing my quarry was about 1.0. Was thinking of using a build that throws out a lot of both Ion and stress at the last 1.0 store Championship in my area.
Edited by Mikael79There are SOME ways you can remove stress with ion in 1.0. Anything that makes your straight or one-speed maneuvers green (like R2 Astromech or Nien Nunb) does affect ion maneuvers (not just the maneuvers on your dial).

When i was initially discussing some Y-wing builds, over on another site, someone suggested going with that droid that lets you stress targets, AND an ion turret.

Just remember the droid only works in arc, so you might as well go all in and put the title on the Y also. Then you can then shoot twice, stress twice and if you hit with the ion also, you pretty much keep the target from doing any actions for 2 full turns, not to mention that the next turn you know exactly where an actionless enemy ship is going to be.
The problem is that your Y will also be double stressed and without R2, they have the worst green moves in the game.
This ship will draw a lot of attention though, so sometimes you can use it as bait to give your other ships a turn or two to do their stuff without getting shot at.
Rats. Forgot that the droid that lets you do that, also stresses YOU too..
