Newbie question - have tried to search for an answer ?

I am new to Star Wars Destiny and loving the game and want to collect more and potentially start playing in competitions. I am learning deck building etc I am aware of the release cycle for cards but is there an approximate date when Awakening cards (think these first release ones), cannot be used in competitions?

FFG plans on making three sets per year. The last set of the Legacies cycle is due to come out sometime in November. If they hit their schedule, then that would put the first set of the next cycle around March next year.

Once that set drops, Awakenings, Spirit of Rebellion and Empire at War will be removed from standard play and only available in infinite. You have about eight more months before that happens.
