I'm surprised nobody (that i know of) has mentioned the Bulwark class for the Rebels. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bulwark_Mark_III

It's 2500 meters of pure ugliness, Rebels should get a Lucrehulk as another large ship instead.

No argument about it's ugliness here. Still, if FFG came up with a (heavily) reworked design, i see no reason it couldn't be added.

Although I would prefer ships with history to them like Lancers and Dreadnaughts, FFG has proven to be capable of cool custom designs like the Raider corvette.

It's not ugly just thicc.

Or just have FFG helm the first visual example of the StarHawk. Three took down a SSD. It could conceivably be a smaller huge ship.

The bulwark looks like the death of fun. FFG isn’t dumb enough to use that model.

While I am an Imperial loyalist, I would love for the rebels to get a Lucrehulk as a huge ship. It would certainly be a fun model to collect and display while providing some interesting options for game design. And what Imperial wouldn't love to turn one into space scrap?

Let's be honest here, the first self-lit Lucrehulk would look amazeballs .

I don't mind the Bulkwark. Rebellion was a good game and I don't mind some of the contributions it could give to the lore. Besides, granting the Rebellion ships that aren't just another Mon Calamari construction is welcome.

I second this, stellaris is amazing and this mod looks like its going to be awesome. Think of it as civ in space. But better.

Paradox games (Europa Universalis, Vicotoria) are exactly that: Think of Civ but better. ^_^ (Saying as a long time Civ-Fan)

Yes, we need some ships that aren’t mon cal derivatives.

Closely followed by hammerheads, corellian corvette & falcon knock offs.

I’m all for new and unique, but the bulwark looks like Jabba’s sail barge IN SPAAAAAACE!!!!!

This. We need a rebel huge ship, not another imperial huge ship. And not Clone Wars btw. Clone Wars needs their own Separatist and Republic factions if they ever get to Armada.

I think more huge ships would be terrible for the game, personally (just imagine SSD vs SSD games... both ships just deploy facing each other and go exchange blows, with whoever gets to make the first attack having a huge edge).

That said, why has no one mentioned the Viscount- class Star Defender for the Rebels? It's basically a 17km very wide Mon Calamari starship, far superior in defensive and offensive capabilities to an SSD. Of course, could you imagine the salt from Imp players if Rebels got a huge ship and it was the most powerful (and expensive) ship in the game?

Probably because it’s been mentioned a half dozen other times in other threads and most of us are burned out by the discussion in yet another thread? ?

Discussion Burnout is the downside of having over 18,000 posts, I suppose. :D

And do we really need another mon cal design for the rebels?

Not that you are wrong, but I find it interesting that I see people make this point very frequently, and yet people are always begging for more imperial ships that are slightly different triangles.

The Empire is a monolithic galactic empire that demands conformity and uniformity within its ranks.

The Alliance to restore the republic is a collective of diverse interests and species bringing their own war material and equipment to fight aforementioned monolithic galactic empire.

We expect uniformity out of the Empire, just as we expect diversity out of the rebellion. Surely out of the entire galaxy the Mon Calamari aren't the only one to build space vehicles large enough to rival the Empire.

The Viscount and the Bulwark are typical adversaries suggested for the SSD because in both systems (Star Wars Minis, Star Wars Rebellion computer game) They were the direct opposite and equivalent of the SSD. The former is basically your run-of-the-mill MC80 permutation of being a giant space pickle (this one without wings). The latter is a tubby design never seen before in Star Wars and is quite attention grabbing because of how different it is from the ultra-common Mon Calamari cruisers.

I know which one I would want to see, and it's the one that's different.

Bulwark mkIII would be great, I love that ship. Viscount would be another nice option.

Lets just drop in the Eclipse, and end the game on turn one.

Well they have clearly depowered SSD for the game so no reason they can’t for Eclipse.

They could easily make it a campaign pack so the Eclipse could go into battle (say against defence stations) as well as a fleet to even the odds for the rebel player or something.

Not that FFG would ever release Eclipse sadly as it’s old EU & that seems pretty much off the table now. ?

Lucrehulk is not even rebel faction

The Rebel Alliance has used CIS ships like the Lucrehulk in both Canon and Legends. Many Separatists joined the Rebels to continue the war against the Empire after the Clone Wars.
