Perhaps we'll see two Aetherpsrites in the core (assuming, as I do, that there will be a core), and one Infiltrator. In which case they can be Anakin's and Obi Wan's paint schemes.

That's an interesting idea. They've never had ships with different size bases in core sets together (granted, we've only had three so far).

If they followed the trend, I'd expect the N-1 and two Vulture Droids. Of course, you'd think their potential core set ships would be the first they announce.

So... uh... maybe? But if they do a core with these two ships and want to keep it close to the same price as other cores, it might be only one Delta-7 alongside the Scimitar.

Red Y-Wing. Rebel ones are already yellow. Scum ones do kinda have a bit of maroon in them, but red Clone-Wars era Y-Wings wold add the most overall visual difference, IMHO.

That R2-D2 thing bothers me too. Where does the bottom half go? You can see under the dang thing, and he clearly wouldn't fit in there. Bah. I just don't like pretty much any prequel-era design. Naboo fighters are solid, but otherwise? Not for me. But as I've said, I'd rather buy new Prequel ships than re-buy stuff I already have to get new upgrades.

Eta has a bulge for the rest of R2 under the wing, apparently they just forgot to add it in this scene.iS1LzRq.jpg

Every once in a while I will read a thread on here and ask myself:

”These guys know none of these ships are real right?”

You think an N1 is a match for two Viltures droids? Even with a few upgrades I’m not sure about that. Maybe though.

Yeah, it seems like an okay match to me. It's not quite as natural to X-Wing vs 2 TIEs, though. I can't see the N-1 having more than 2 attack on it's primary, so I can see how it might fail. But maybe it should not about it being even?

I does fit the narrative of the source story, as well as the sort of generic Star Wars theme of underdogs struggling against a superior force.

Its a Lucas-ism, I think he decided he wanted R2 on the ship to explain how the droid got onto the CIS cruiser so they added it in late in production and someone likely brought it up but he likely said something to the effect 'it doesn't matter'. Its the same reason the N1 has an astromech slot, it wasn't originally meant to have one, but Lucas wanted R2 there after they settled on the design which is why they have R2 capable of doing a telescoping neck.

The film didn't have the bulge.

I think the Hasbro toy of the ship was the first to add it and then moving forward they just added it since it made sense.

Physical model doesn't have it but it was added in post... in most scenes.

Poor R2-D2 with his dangling feet.

Thanks for highlighting this. People like to pretend Lucas and Company were truly clueless, but there's no REAL problem with the N1 or the ETA-2.
