What are we trying to address: I wanted to achieve a few things. First, have some tricks aimed at swarms and aces. Second, I wanted an ace. Third, I wanted three ships. Fourth, I wanted to make a "wave 1 only" list.
So, the ace: Fenn Rau. Making use of the linked actions to reposition and still have dice modifications. It gets even better when Lando coordinates, so now you are getting to boost or barrel roll at I4, only to have a blue maneuver shed the stress and open you up for a Target Lock (or a post move reposition).
Boba is loaded up with some tricks against aces and swarms. His pilot ability itself gives him lots of rerolls vs. Swarms, and makes him somewhat resilient to bumps. Flying through the swarm gives the Marauder reroll on offense as well. And Proton Bombs force the swarm to break up a bit or else take a lot of damage. The Homing Missiles force aces to make choices: take the damage, or run the risk of more damage. If you can get an ace close (or anyone else, for that matter), 0-0-0 either stresses them or calculates for you. Either way, you win.
Lando is going to coordinate quite often. He was selected because he is the highest skill escape craft, and so gives you the most information before the coordinate. The pilot ability may well prove relevant on occasion.
I don't know if "wave 1 only" will allow other upgrades. It might be that 0-0-0, Homing Missile, and Proton Bombs are not eligible. But, otherwise, this seems like a wave 1 approach.
So, help me make this better. Any improvements in mind?
