Cal vote LP

This looks really shady to me

Also I have called out LP,Pod, and Ebon.

Notice how pods vote changes off ebon right as ebon is one vote from hammer then counters into getting support against LP

I stand by my first assumption that pod and ebon are definitely playing a game with us

I think Ebon should claim.

WHAT? With what, L-3 at the time of writing? What for? This smacks of a scum trying to discover a role he believes he will fail to lynch.

That's hammer.

If anyone could conduct assassinations, it’s TK-5701. Stealthy and a trained sniper to boot. He’s never been the same after that shell on Rattatak, either… Together, you subdue and execute him by blaster. Searching the body, you find no evidence of wrongdoing. His helmet recordings show he was conducting careful surveillance on the squad, putting his training to use... a most unfortunate loss.
@PodRacer has been killed. He was an insane town cop.

As the last rays of sun fade from the canopy, you pitch your regulation survival tents, devour your ration bars, and fall asleep to the strange hoots, chitters and buzzes of Sylluria’s wildlife.

Night has fallen.

Day 2 begins.

TK-3287 was on sentry duty. When dawn comes, he and TK-1899 are gone. After a half hour sweeping the jungle, you find both bodies broken at the bottom of a ravine near the camp. A fresh blaster shot into 3287’s side and 1899’s slightly depleted power pack are informative. So is the small, close-range comlink soldered into 3287’s helmet. One question remains. How did TK-1899 know he was killing a Rebel operative? You soon realize he didn’t. TK-1899 is Alderaanian. It used to be something to tease him about, but not since two months ago. None of you can imagine what it would be like to lose your homeworld. A search of his things gives you an idea. The more recent entries in his small leatherbound journal descend into deranged scribblings, lists of names, and dark proclamations of hatred and vengeance. You’ll never know just who got Wook. But the comlink shows your Rebel wasn’t working alone…

@GhostofNobodyInParticular is dead. He was a mafia goon.

@Caldias is dead. He was a serial killer.

bla_1537228350.png

Well, that was weird day... and an even weirder night.

Conclusion, the town will kill itself and the bad guys will take themselves out and then no one wins

Wow - that’s a great result! Two threats to the team removed.

Excellent.

Lunch time here, then I’ll put some analysis together so we can work forwards.

Well, I said Analysis, but really I mean random speculation.

Three dead, and two of them enemies of town. A very promising start.

Let's run down the list

ovinomanc3r - alive - voted for Ebon Hawk

Gengis John - alive - voted for Lord Preyer, then Podracer

LTD - alive - second vote for Ebon Hawk

Lord Preyer - alive – voted for Ebon Hawk, hammer vote for Podracer

Ebon Hawk - alive - started the Podracer train

PodRacer - lynched day one - insane cop - started the Ebon Hawk train, then voted Lord Preyer

GhostofNobodyinParticular - killed by serial killer - voted for PodRacer

clontrooper5 - alive - voted LTD, then changed to PodRacer

Matt3412 - alive - voted EbonHawk, changed to PodRacer

Madaghmire – alive - has not reported in – seems inactive

Caldias – killed by scum – Serial Killer – voted for PodRacer (second vote for PodRacer).

So, my suspicions lie in three directions:

Ebon Hawk started the PodRacer train – not super suspicious given history of other games (which is a very frustrating thing to have to write). This PodRacer train was then seconded by Caldias (who we now know was a Serial Killer), and thirded by GNiPs (who we now know was a mafia goon). It seems unlikely that the scum would jump so quickly on the PodRacer train if Ebon Hawk was another scum. In general I don’t think scum start trains – and particularly so early on day one – but Ebon Hawk is Ebon Hawk.

The other three who jumped on the PodRacer train late in the day might have an opportunistic scum among them, or may just be loyal townies keen to see action before the cut off. Of the three (Clontroper5, Matt3412, and Lord Preyer), my suspicions lie heaviest on Lord Preyer as the hammer vote. PodRacer made some comments about Lord Preyer, and then he jump on PodRacer pretty quick after that.

My third suspicion isn’t really a suspicion, but Madaghmire has not posted or acknowledged receipt of role – it is possible he doesn’t realise that this game is happening. I think he should be eliminated as a matter of principle.

## vote Madaghmire – though my vote is happy to move if better suggestions and arguments are made.

Overall, we are in a very good place – 8 players remain, 7 of them active. We have lost one town, who was an insane cop and therefore likely to confuse us later in the game. The mafia goon and the serial killer have taken each other out. We have at least one scum left, maybe two. I like those odds.

Well, after that night... I'm clueless

Excellent night! I suppose that 3287 and 1899 blasted each other. A turn of events so good it’s almost enough to make me believe in that ancient religion and it’s sad devotees...

V helpful breakdown of where things stand @LTD - thank you.

For myself, first off, I voted to hammer Pod because I was persuaded by @GhostofNobodyInParticular ’s post raising suspicion flags. As my gaming history of Mafia demonstrates, when I find an argument convincing I tend to act on it swiftly. I should add, I was also concerned about time running out and wasn’t sure I could keep checking given my game of Rebellion was about to heat up (side note: Troopers will be relieved to hear the Rebel base was soon located). Lastly, knowing I am Town and being targeted by Pod upped my suspicion that Pod was Scum. With precious little information from day 1 to act on (and time being short) I voted Pod not because it was as good a vote as any but because actually I thought it was a slightly better vote than a different, more random choice.

A question for @The Jabbawookie - was there a pre-game night phase for some characters, please?

I also agree with LTD. If @Madaghmire is in but not playing I kinda think we have to lose him from the game (mod kill would be preferable though of course). Shall we give him say another 16hrs or something? If he does continue as a ghost presence it could make a late endgame more difficult.

An answer for @Lord Preyer - that's classified intelligence, trooper. Sorry.

Thank you. Your non-denial denial is noted and may be useful nonetheless oh Force Ghost. ;)

@The Jabbawookie - according to @Madaghmire “last visited stamp” he’s not been on here since Sept. 8 and his original “in” message was August. He never role confirmed.

If he doesn’t show soon would you be willing to consider a mod kill please so we don’t have to waste a vote killing a non-participating player?

Thanks for considering.

Upon lengthy consideration, Mads is unlikely to contribute to either team, and serves as an unnecessary distraction to everyone.

Your hike is interrupted by a scream. Many, actually. You tighten your formation and converge on the thrashing form of TK-9006, then stop short. Luckily the 3-inch long carrion wasps have finished their stinging and hum away, to return and lay larva only when their victim is fully liquefied. In the meantime, you grant a few words of comfort and a quick kill via E-11. Then you search him. You find nothing… except for a tiny comlink, concealed syringes and poison, slicing gear, narglatch repellant, vibroblades in the boot soles and internal helmet scopes far more powerful than yours. You recognize them as ISB-issue. It’s hard to say if you’re really worse off… 9006 was always a little distant, and not even the ISB could call the accident your fault.

It's not a jungle unless some dies a horrible fauna-related death!

Madaghmire has been killed. He was a 1-shot vigilante.

Ok, well, that changes that.

Hmm.

Im heading to bed - see you in a couple of hours.

Wanted to point out an error in the vote analysis/speculation done about me.

Below is how I actually voted with my final vote on top and original at the very bottem.

I started on pod. I was the second after ebon, I actually happened to switch from pod to ebon below at the same time the serial killer jumped on pod, both were typing/posted at the same time. Then switch back to pod once support looked enough for pod.

I thought they were. Both guilty at the time so was indifferent.

In what was originally set as a 11 player game I’d be surprised if we were facing more than 2 Mafia given that we also had an SK. *If* this is the case, we have a little breathing room (2 nights I think before it’s mislynch and lose) to hunt and lynch and try again as needs be. Still, it would be a marked change to Town’s fortunes if we could close this thing down more sharply than that!

With that in mind it would be great if people could start weighing in with their thoughts today please so we don’t end up in a rush tomorrow. Cheers!
