1. I protected Matt Because Matt was somewhat vocal the first day and I thought he would draw attention from the bad guys

2. I voted for you because you were insistent that I vote at a time when I had zero inclination towards anyone so I voted for you until I came to a further conclusion

I return to the fray to discover much paranoia AND friendliness - huzzah!

Briefly (pre dinner):

- Ebon and my code pictures: no clues this time there, just flavour set up for another Timothy Zahn/Imperials joke. If you translated the script it would show the code is “1,2,3” and “A, B, C” - “an old code sir, but it checks out”.

- Ebon and posting: yep, this is normal.

- Ebon and hotter than usual. Yes, again how I speak. I have included him in my suspicions for a reason.

- Gengis sticks to his attack: I’ve hunted scum all game, helped players, offered analysis, cast votes, offered to fall on my sword (and only reversed at less than a minute on the clock when no one took me up on the offer). If I read scum to you so be it. Nothing I say or do all game seems to shake you from your vote stuck on me so please forgive me for not trying too much convince you. Am pretty sure you can’t be convinced.

- Clon’s claim: checks out to me. If it’s a bluff it’s a well timed gamble and a good one. I am lowering my suspicion of him accordingly.

- LTD gets it more right than most: and so sails to the top of the Not-Scum class.

- Killers: I think it’s fair to say that it is more likely than not that the scum is hiding amongst the two incorrect lynches. Therefore the chief suspects remain myself, Clon and Ebon.

- As I know myself to be Town and (for now) buy Clon as Doc my chief suspect is now you @EbonHawk

Ebon - my lurking and delay earlier was caused by writing most of that post before dinner but not being able to post after all until post-dinner

The lack of reason, and general blase nature of the vote on me strongly lead me to suspect you're the scum we're looking for

I buy Clon as Doc for exactly the same reasons as Ebon reckons him so.

Which leaves you and me Ebon! We seem to basically agree on the others which kinda forces us to vote for each other now. Before I retaliate in time shall we both try stepping back from the brink and giving the other candidates one more check through before we potentially (probably!) blast away at each other?

Nothing so cunning. I’m rather explaining why I feel they are not suspect to me at this time.

Here’s the thing that bugs me about my suspicion of you Ebon:

- indulge me for a moment by believing me when I say I am Town

- now let’s say you successfully persuade the others to kill me

- at this point you would have led the lynch mob on 3 Towns in a row

- so wouldn’t that significantly endanger you? If I die tonight then surely Town kills you tomorrow!

- you must know this. And yet you persevere in pressuring me today. Which does lead me to wonder if I’m wrong in my suspicion of you. You must genuinely think I’m scum! But I know I’m not so that gives me pause for thought in my scum suspicion of you

this is one of many times LP talks of trying to kill a vet yesterday, hoping to get me or Ovi, in the hopes we wouldn't spot him..

He didn't get that so what happens in the night, a veteran dies, and he then puts his vote on the last one left... leaving him with Ltd and CLon (after he kills Gengis tonight, as he's been constantly pressing LP), who being new, gives him more chance to successfully manipulate LTD and CLon into siding with him and voting for one of the others. A grand plan LP, but one I am going to make sure town derails.
