Normally the claim would be unprovable, but the late TK-9006’s slicing tools prove effective at uncovering the truth. Having found the helmet’s real owner, you waste no time in eliminating the filth. Death by blaster is deemed to be too quick this time.
That afternoon you receive a garbled transmission from the ISD Arrogator, giving coordinates for pickup. One grueling 9-hour hike later, you reach the shuttle, where a sweating, heavyset ISB lieutenant is waiting. You give him the recon data, but he barely seems interested, asking if you’ve encountered any “complications” in your mission, and why you’re missing troopers. You tell him everything you know, finishing just as the shuttle lands in Arrogator’s bustling hangar bay. Maybe the ISB wanted the recon data; maybe they just wanted their agent to kill infiltrators. You’ll probably never know. The time to grieve for the dead will come later. For now, you just want a hot meal and a shower.
