Saw an Crabbock unboxing that showed it was completely unpainted. Stood out terribly. Any others like that?
Is 2.0 Y-Wing flawed paint job on turret?
My guess is that FFG had to leave it off to get to the rest of the ship and it would've been cost prohibitive to add a step at the end of the process. That being said, all I did to my Y-Wing (or the turret at least) was a quick Nuln Oil wash:
