No. I thought that at first, but it doesn't. It stops further actions during THAT SHIP's activation, but not during other ships' - being Coordinated later is all good.

Ah, of course.

I knew focusing specifically on part of the language was going to blind me to something else obvious.

Yep, that's much better. Doesn't block things like Jake either.

It also affects the bit about red actions failing. If a red Coordinate doesn't fail, then you take a stress.

Is that saying that all docking ships can use either guide, or do they have to list both because Ghost uses rear and New Falcon uses front?

If it is not specified on card text, you can deploy out of either. Has always been the case for Hound's Tooth and Gozanti I believe. Nobody played Epic or Hound's Tooth title though so...

One thing that is still not 100% clear to me.

Here is the situation.

I coordinate a boost or barrel roll for Fenn Rau with my Escape Craft. Can this trigger a linked action for a focus? If so, when Fenn removes his stress via a blue maneuver afterwards is he able to perform a third action (and could this be a barrel roll or boost again, if it has been the coordinated action or a second focus)?

AdvSensors is specific to that ships activation, but it cannot perform more than 1 action PERIOD from any source if it uses AdvSensors during its activation.

However, if something gives it an action before/after its activation, AdvSensors doesnt block it. So it doesnt shut down any high-PS coordinate, action passing abilities, or start of engagement actions.
(its also worth noting its one of the important reasons why acquiring a lock is not an action. Redline for instance can adv sensors and still get a targetlock because his ability is "acquire a lock" not do a lock action.

actually now that i think about it i may put adv sensors on him for that very reason...wow i completely missed that

Yes, you can link off a coordinated action (or any other time you are granted an action, barring circumstances that specifically bar it like Advanced Sensors).

Yes, if someone performs a linked action before their activation, then activates and executes a blue maneuver to clear stress, they can then perform an action as usual; yes, this would be three actions in a round for one ship.

No, you cannot repeat actions you have already taken in a round. Linked actions and other red actions are still actions; if a ship does a linked focus into barrel roll it cannot do another focus or barrel roll action for the rest of the round, linked or free or otherwise. (Note that this does not stop a ship from receiving additional focus tokens from other effects, or from barrel rolling due to a tractor beam. Performing the same action multiple times is specifically what's prohibited.)

To sum up: Escape Craft performs a Coordinate action on Fenn Rau, who performs a barrel roll into a linked focus, gaining a stress. Fenn Rau then activates; he performs a blue maneuver, clearing the stress, and proceeds to his own Perform Action step. Fenn Rau can now choose to either boost or acquire a lock. He cannot perform a barrel roll or focus action, nor can he attempt to follow up a boost with a linked focus action, due to having already performed those actions in the round.
