Happy Friday - What does community mean?

By Cubanboy, in Star Wars: Armada

Hello and Happy Friday,

I wanted to ask this question for a while now, to you what does it mean to have a community in relationship to gaming?

Gencon was amazing sorry for not being the first to post about SSD stats and such, I did get to talk with the devs for a while and I want to follow up with them before I say something I can’t :-p.

I think community means a group of people who love the same games and enjoy playing them with each other.

A group that can come together, discuss, argue, and make noises but at the end of the day they all enjoy at least one things that brought them all together

Happy Friday!

A group where you can take 2 hours with fan boy sidebars about Star Wars to play a 1 hour game.

A group of like-minded guys and gals...

certainly not all the same, but a wild assortment of nerds... There's some whiners, some prothets of doom, some super active busybodies, some true experts, some guardians of the rules, some knowledgeable (yet liable) insiders, some truly creative minds...

... all of which love what I consider THE game I've always wanted since childhood, all of which act out their passion...

It's fun to read about all of your opinions - where they overlap and where they don't - even when I cannot get my ships out as much as I want... even if I had to skip this year's Armada League Berlin season (my magnificent daughter is 17 months old)...

Its two people moving rectangles around a 3'x6' board while making noises with their mouths for two of their precious life hours.
