I did too, for Magic the Gathering. But there, the card was the actual playing component so there was really no alternative that made any kind of sense.

Seriously, if FFG wanted to, there is no reason this game couldn't be paperless (at least as far as your list goes).

Print.

Peg.

Play.

Perhaps, but cards are still fun. ^_^

Yep. And once I've done all that work, since I never go to tournaments, I'd rather just have a fully-fledged printout to use at the table rather than finding all those cards.

Exactly. And I'm pretty sure FFG creeps out here, so expressing opinions is important for future developments.

Same. I do local tourneys but not "official" ones, and our local tourneys are laid back about it too. I always bring the actual physical cards with me, and am happy to show them to people who ask, but I keep the printouts at the table and use those, the cards stay in the binders. I love the printouts, it's just a lot easier to manage. I love X-Wing but there's no denying that it's a lot of little pieces to manage - the less you have to pick up and move around, the easier it is, and the less you have to worry about losing stuff.

The only exception is the "dual use" cards, like the S-Foils and the U-Wing Pivot wings. I'll use the physical card and flip that over, to make it crystal clear what's going on.
