What does "ca" on "TIE/ca Punisher" mean?

*fixed.

Cacophany Ascendant?

it's short for TIE/caca

which in 1e was an appropriate name, and in 2e is a description of what happens to a pilot's pants when he sees three of these bad boys flying at him

I still call it the TIE/pu

In my headcannon I've started seeing TIE PUNishers as sassy, insubordinate, and infuriating DAD jokers that drive everyone crazy, but they have the Emperor's support because he loves their puns. No one can escape them, no one can get rid of them. And their numbers are growing (cheaper cost in 2.0!).

Which puts the empire in a whole different context.

Pronounced “TIE/poo”

Certainly Amazing

Certified Awesome

Cantankerous Annihilator

Churlish Aspirant?

I'll be doing the puns in a different thread from now on, so I'm not constantly interrupting this conversation. Head over there!

Also, ca =

CAncer?

Criminal Alibi?

Crabby Allies?

Cruising Altitude?

Copious Appendages

In 1.0 it was the TIE/caca.

Now it's only half as bad, so it's the TIE/ca.

TIE/pu is just a common typo.

More seriously, "Capital assault" is probably the right answer, in contrast to the Tie/sa "Surface Assault" Tie bomber.

So, the TIE Punisher can only bomb seats of political power, but the TIE Bomber can nail anything on planet?

Which is why Snoke made his headquarters flying. Less things that could kill it.

But that ridiculous width is what let Holdo pull her stunt in the first place

Space is vast, but when you've got a ship that makes itself THAT big a target, it's kinda hard to miss

Now we're trying to make sense of a counterjoke. Stop killing Cathar.

Capital Assault = this thing kills starships = Torpedo bomber
Surface Assault = this thing drops bombs

But only on the surface of things. If you are out on the roof, you are f#cked. Otherwise, it's all cool.

Cataclysmic Arsenal?

Calcified Argon

Cold Assets

Well, if TIE/sa bomber stands for "scimitar assault," naturally the punisher is "cutlass assault". Idk
