Fun little details it took forever to notice

By IndyPendant, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Let's have a fun thread!

What small details in the game did it take you forever to notice?

Topic inspired by the fact that only at the most recent tournament did I notice that Gideon was carrying some kind of techy binoculars...and not a flask of alcohol. I had always imagined FFG has been going for a concept of a humorously effective-despite-drunken commander stereotype.

I've been playing IA regularly for over two and a half years. ; )

It took me until actually setting up a map to realize that there's an end piece in Jabba's Realm that includes a Carbonite Han.

? No way!!! That's pretty cool! That's a pretty big "time period" commitment even if the Time period concept was dropped.

That the Take Initiative art is the scene from Empire Strikes Back where Boba Fett blasts C-3PO on Bespin. I love the art in this game.

Funnily enough, without even thinking about/noticing he had a flask-like object, I made Gideon a despair drinker in my backstory for him.

Color of his party is green indeed. I had no doubt, he's affiliated with scum...

Probably should have been noticed before, but I just opened the Core set, Jabba's Palace and Heart of the Empire and just noticed how out numbered the Rebels are.

Having watched RotJ hundreds of times, it was still only with IA that I realized Jabba has a tattoo on his arm! I was painting the Jabba figure when the tattoo (or scarification?) appeared, and no I see it every time I watch RotJ :D

It’s the insignia for his organization clan.

I only found out about the tattoo probably right before Jabba’s Realm released.

EDIT: Thanks for the wikia link @angelman2 , through it I noticed my mistake.

I've never noticed this, ever. This blows my mind since I grew up with the original trilogy.

That got me, too. It was the silver C-3P0 leg all over again! :P

Of course, everytime Jabba was in a scene we all assume who you were looking at *cough Slave-Leia *cough ;)

For sure.

I actually had to repaint my C-3P0 over a year after I originally painted him, because it took me that long to notice.

It's one of my friend who made me realize that RtH has tiles representing a Tautaun enclosure.

Mind blown like both Death Stars!

And as @IanSolo_FFG said, it is easy to miss, there being a... distraction in the scene and image ;)

It took quite some time for me to realize that Greedo is awesome. I thought that GIA is some kind of inside joke, I just don't get.

I was looking through pictures of tiles to try and find it, to no luck (not sure I'd know what a tauntaun enclosure looks like anyway, though) when I found a tile with a crashed probe droid. Kinda weird, since it looks a lot bigger than the droids in game.

I'll have to look more closely at these tiles- seems I've been focusing too much on the gameplay details, and not on the art.

Look for tile 09-B (09-A has the crashed snowspeeder on it)

Or have a look at @a1bert PBF White Noise map setup ( lower right tile ) K12 to N14. You can actually see the gates of the enclosure are open.

Ahh, nice! I see it now!

Side notw- I think it's 01A in RtH that has the skeleton. Is that supposed to be a Wampa, Tauntaun, or something else?

Hmm... good question. I had always assumed it was something the Wampa ate. Looks a little big for a tauntaun though.
