Waiqar Executioner

By Tarquillaman3285, in Runewars Rules Questions

So I'm looking at the Exectutioner figure upgrade for the Waiqar, and for those of you unfamiliar with it, it says "(Action symbol) Choose a wounded figure in an enemy engaged with you and remove it." Does that mean I can dial in an Attack with an Action as the modifier, damage an enemy hero for any amount, and then just kill it? I don't really see anything stopping me from doing that, but it seems really really good and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

yes

It's good for heroes and single-rank units. Special figures in multi-rank units need an accuracy or already be damaged somehow.

Off course it does mean you’ve actually caught someone with your Reanimates - good luck with that ?

Or shoot something with Reanimate Archers first, then have the Reanimates attack and execute. Take that Ravos!!

Recently tried this with deathmist banners, not a bad combo at all. Just don't get stunned!

This sounds like a job for. . . Cursed Signets! Admittedly this destroys the combo, but man am I getting scared of banes.

So if I am using an executioner in my Waiqar unit against another infantry unit that has an embedded hero that has already suffered one wound due to an accuracy from a previous attack, I can use my skill to take that figure out? Even if that unit still has other back ranks?

I would think so, as when the figure is removed, the back ranks are pulled forward to fill the spot.

Yep. No need for more accuracy results because you aren't dealing damage or wounds. It simply says to "choose a wounded figure in an enemy you are engaged with."

Ulthuk giving you trouble? Try a few executioners. Seriously awesome at murdering Spined Threshers.

OO I have been playing with Death caller so this might be good with a second unit with Executioner.......
