when CS Tywin gets his gold does the owner have to pay 1 Gold? His second ability, that he is allowed to spend the gold is a constant effect, I know that you do not have to pay for that, but the Gold gaining ability? We played it that the owner does not have to pay.

Is this passive? Or triggered ability?

Triggered abilities are always preceeded by a bolded text (e.g. "response", "any phase", "challenges").

That second ability of Tywin's is a constant.
