Kotaku Article on SSD

By RogueCommander, in Star Wars: Armada

I couldn't even finish this article after the line "They’re about to be dwarfed, though, by the release of the Executor, the Super Star Destroyer made famous in Episodes IV & V."

You didn't miss much it has nothing to offer those of us on the forums or who know of its release. Hopefully though it serves those unaware of it or of Armada in general and brings more heads to the table

well that article was garbage for players as it gave nothing new or remotely interesting, and it was garbage for new people thinking "what is armada?" as it gave no explanations, no clarifications or anything about the game.

I think that’s what the hyperlinks are for

ITT: Bragging about knowing what's coming in Armada, by Armada players on the Armada forums.

Whoosh. People, it's good to have entertainment blogs putting Armada out there. People and their wallets should be exposed to the game so that we can get more toys. There it is.

I'm excited to see exposure for Armada, and I think it illustrates maybe FFG's best motivation for finally releasing the SSD: it gets people hyped. Even people who don't play Armada or don't play it yet. Remember how sad it was to watch the Legion community get hyped up about their game and the excitement train it was on? We're getting that with the SSD.

Relatedly, wasn't Geek and Sundry gonna do a show about tabletop stuff like a year ago or so, and the trailer had a flash of Armada being played? Did that ever happen? Anybody know? I don't have access to their paywall site, so I don't know if it was just quiet or if their Game the Game show ate that other show.
