I’ve seen a few people mention playing Legion on Tabletop Simulator. I’m curious to hear how it is, how it works play-wise, pros and cons, etc.
Is it worth the $20?

Yes, no question. It is superb.
Absolutely. It also has the benefit of being able to use the models before they're released (but only those cards which have appeared in previews).
Its good yes...but I also find it incredibly 'faffy' to use.
It's really good. Some terrific work has been done on the Legion mod, and I am continually impressed by it when playing.
It can be a little fiddly at first, but worth the effort of learning.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the responses. How well does it replicate the actual game? Does it fully automate game mechanics and rules (Eg LOS, Cover, attack pools, die rolls, etc) or is more of just a sandbox?
TTS simulates playing a board/war game, rather than being a computer game version of Legion. It has tools for semi-automating rolls, card selection, and movement but you need to do most of everything manually. It takes about as long to play on TTS as it would on a table.
I think it simulates the game very vbery well.
My problem..and it stops me returning is im losing out on the tabletop experience.....im playing a PC game of Legion...without the fun and visuals of the table top AND a replica of Legion on the pc follows all the same principles....an actual PC game of Legion would be much easier and user friendly. A true replica of legion it is...but that (on a pc) makes it a pain in the **** to use(but it IS very well done no doubt about it).
Is there a community to get games for it? (A place to schedule in advance I mean?)

There is a tabletop simulator section on the Legion discord where people set up games at.
Edited by sirfrancisduboisCan you save ongoing games? That is, could you -- say -- play a few rounds, save , and then come back to it some time later?
I live in Seattle, my brother-in-law lives in Austin. We're trying to figure out if this will allow us to play piecemeal games as time permits across our time zones.

Yes, you can save and return to games in progress. That is one of the best parts.
Big Plus to TTS is Awesome Maps, that have some really great Terrian and premade maps that most of us simply don't have access to in IRL
