I'm sorry if I'm missing this in a book somewhere. If I want to blast my way through a locked door is there a particular explosive available that doesn't do damage to everyone in short range? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Flex-5 Detonite Tape in Fully Operational is exactly what you are looking for. It's a roll of compressed explosive that one can tear into metre-long strips, attach to a surface to be destroyed, and when detonated it will blow away a good-sized hole. It has a weapon profile, but its description is largely narrative, and the suggestion is that rather than it constituting a standard one use only explosive you should instead be able to get many uses out of it, as a standard charge is one metre and its a fifty metre roll. That should cover what you need.

If the gagged person knows what that tape can do, then it would certainly add some boost dice to intimidation-type skill checks!
