I'm a big Call of Cthulhu RPG Player/Fan, I'm currently running a Miskatonic U based campaign. So I'm thinking about creating a MU expansion that greatly expands upon MU's presence in the game.

The idea would be to use Strange Eons and Chaosium's MU source book to create a new mini board of the campus, with locations like: the Medical School, School of the Arts, the MU Commons (could be a street location), etc. (possibly using images from the Mythos CCG for the Location Images). There would be more Professor type allies, new items, spells, encounter cards etc from the Roleplaying game. New investigators like The Gifted Music Student, Troubled Medical Student, Obsessive Lab Assistant. The Perpetual Graduate Student, could also be mildly humorous. It would be crafted like a full expansion.

Thoughts? Would others be interested in such an expansion? I should say I don't yet have all the expansions, only Dunwich and King and Yellow so farm so I don't know how many more MU themed things have been added to the game. Let me know what you think!

In looking over Adul Alhazred's Sectarios: Foro de la Llamada de Cthulhu site and their efforts on making an MU expansion, I have come up with a list of elements to make:

Investigators: expansion characters will be students from various majors

Enrollment Cards: a membership card that signifies the investigator is enrolled at the university, the expansion characters will all start with such a card, non-student investigators can gain an enrollment card at the Administration Building on the main map board for 8 dollars instead of a skill card

Faculty Cards: alley type cards available at certain university locals which will give enrolled characters 'skill like' bonuses

I really like Alhazred's group's idea of having 'other dimension areas' representing various MU expeditions

A number of locations on a new board will be available: The East and West Dormitories, The MU Exhibit Museum, the Student Theater, The Medical School, the Athletic Field and the School of the Arts ( I'm thinking of keeping the library and science building and admin building on the main board largely as is, though it could be that any investigator moving into the MU street area would go to the new board instead and those locals would be recreated and upgraded there.

There, of course, would be new encounter cards, some new skills, new monsters, new spells and new items, and even a new great old one or two
