No clue, but maybe this: gain 1 additional officer slot.

At the start of the command phase you may discard this card and one other Officer card you have equipped and replace them with another officer upgrade card.

Vader chokes the officer and replaces him. Could have some fun artwork too.

I think Rebels should control this card, Vader got rid of more Imperial officers than Rebel cruiser can do by themselves?

This would work if you have to pay for the replacement the same, and include it in fleet cost.

Not long ago x-wing introduced a couple upgrades that allowed you to replace one upgrade with another of equal or lower value

Yes but then you could take Tua and RBD and get rid of her after using them... So the replacement should be pre-defined

What do you mean with "could have". That's exactly what the card shows....

The guy in the foreground grabs his front collar just like Motti does in A New Hope, while Vader force chokes him from the background...

There is an Emperor card, but the one being discussed is pretty clearly Vader. It starts with a D and shows Vader force choking Motti.

Idk you’re also dropping the cost of Vader as well. If Vader cost 10 you’re paying 17 for the Tua trick plus another officer. Adds up fast.

But the real question is what commander thrawn officer does

Also noteworthy that if it says "an officer costing equal or fewer points" then it limits you even more. (And that you could discard tua right away, but still not super powerful for two officer slots).

It won’t be Commander Thrawn.

It would quarrel with the Commander card, as he is called grand admiral in it, so you would be able to use them in the same list

Ozzel, not motti.

What gets me is that he doesn’t seem phased by it. The double take is more like the body fell in an unusual position and he’s double taking because it looked weird. The fact that his commanding flag officer just got arbitrarily executed doesn’t even seem to phase him. It’s more like “well, there goes another admiral, wait, did this one bite his tongue and bleed on the deck? Gotta remember to step around that.”
