Nice writeup. Interestingly, I flew a very similar Leia list quite a few months ago and felt similar. While at first, it felt amazing to have a Hammerhead command 2 squadrons around, I really felt the lack of a "big ship" and more firepower coming from ships. Leia was definitely "there" but for 38 points...woof. She really needs a list like yours, MSU, but the game really swings away from her and towards bigger ships - which hurts lists. SA is downright mean and hurts a lot.
I would love to love Leia, but I feel she is too expensive. Ray Antilles for every ship is a nice option, but not for 38 points. She gives MSU fleets a fighting chance and really shines, but please, knock down the points cost ?

I'm pretty much a contrarian, so LMSU doesn't excite me right now. I know I'll be back to Ackbaring soon enough, but for now I like using the little ones to blow up the big ships. It's delightful fun!

The thing is: with a list like yours (and I think that is where MSU should be nowadays), is there really any good alternative? Cracken - maybe. Yet...who would command the squadrons? You'd have to substitute 1 or 2 Hammerheads to get a carrier in and suddenly, you have a pretty different list. Madine? You want to navigate. Reeikan? Too many ships. Dodonna? Maybe - but same problem as Cracken.
The thing is - Leia, in my opinion, is highly efficient for MSU fleets that also incorporate a good amount of bombers. No bombers, I still love myself some Cracken. Sadly, she is very points inefficient. Get her down to 30 points and she's in a good place. Oh, the dreams.
Just a general query for Gencon perceptions. Is an Ackbar MC80 a bad idea in era of Raddus? I know one of the tops fleets used Ackbar but I was more curious about the general use of him in the field.
