2.0 generic inquisitor build

By DarthSempai, in X-Wing Squad Lists

What do you think of this generic inquisitor build for 2.0?

Inquisitor - 40 points

Supernatural reflexe - 12 points

Cluster missile - 5 points

Total - 57 points

With supernatural reflexe, you can do broll or boost into focus, gain a stress, do a green (blue) manoeuver and then do either lock to shoot the cluster or evade to survive. The build isnt THAT spammable, but I think that 2 inquisitor like that can be a good threat to support a beefier ship, like a pimped out vader.

What i'm wondering is if supernatural reflex is worth it on a generic or should be kept for ace with better initiative.

I think its an excellent use of the slot!

Add fcs and run 3

I was thinking that, or 2 with echo, perceptive copilot, advanced sensor, elusiveness. :P but then the whole list is very VERY vulnerable to alpha strike, specifically bomb!

It is expensive but it's essentially advanced sensors plus a free action. The extra positioning options really makes a difference.

I'm not sure you can. You're not performing a Boost or Roll action from your action bar , you're just performing the action because the upgrade says so. I 'm not sure that will give you the option to trigger your linked actions. A TIE interceptor's autothrusters, which is a ship ability that says "After you perform an action, you may perform a red roll or red boost action" would trigger, because it is 'after an action', it's just not from your action bar (which is why ships which don't have the action on their bar can still do it).

Given the manoeuvrability a TIE/v1 with supernatural reflexes has, I'd be tempted to suggest proton rockets rather than cluster missiles. Yes, it's more expensive but they don't half hit like a brick.

maybe you are right...
At first, I read "• A linked action can be performed after performing the action it is attached to even if that action was granted by a card effect or other game effect." to mean that you could linked out of the action provided by Supernatural reflexes. But I see your point that the card is probably talking about it's own action, and not the ship's action.
