Ya think? Making your own stuff is typically cheaper lol.

Yeah but things I used to find in SW weren't that expensive.
Doesn't change to me the fact that that model isn't worth 200.
200$???? are you out of your **** mind?

It's 24" of plastic, 2 Admirals tons of upgrades and a new tournament legal ship of doom
6 hours ago, Frimmel said:I suggest it is notched because it is a standard base. No need to make a special base when they can use what they have and then decide the rules. The rear notch could be used for navigation but the presence of the notch on its own doesn't guarantee it.
That's what possible means. Maybe the structure is wrong I dunno. Not my language ?

Really? I spend more than this on a quarter of an army in 40k land... This is more than half and is HUGE.
Dont worry, the extra SSD you don't buy I will likely put to good use
8 hours ago, Grumbleduke said:But the actual objects it uses are also bases in their own right; they're 77.5mm x 129mm bases (by the looks of it); so like "attack" we have a word with two meanings. Oh noes, the game is broken!
What is a base? Why are they bases in their own right? Just because there are ships that use one of them?
Again:
A ship consists of a ship base, a ship model, a ship token , and a ship card. All components must match the ship’s type, an d the name on the ship card must match the name on the ship to ken
Nowhere is said bases are one piece objects. But it is said ships have 1 base, not two. There is also said that a ship class is defined by the base size. The size is just a new one. "But the objects it uses are also bases" NOT THEY ARE NOT! Not at least for any in game purpose. They are just plastic pieces. It happens that there are ships that use 1 of those pieces as a base and as long as those pieces have a defined size, those ships are large. The SSD uses 2 pieces as 1 base. The size required to give it a size class is the size of the base, not the pieces.

This is worth approx 10 fighter packs. Compare the amount of plastic & it doesn’t seem like such a bad deal.
****, even if you said 20 fighter packs you’d still probably be in front pro rata.
Granted it’s a big single outlay but in value for money terms I actually think it’s ok.
EDIT: oh really forum, you can’t even say H E L L!?
Edited by ISD Avenger$200 sounds cheap and cheerful to me!

That would fit. One even looks like it begins with an E and is not Executor.
It's not hard to imagine that Huge ships might just get a special rule where they may be counted as large ships for the purposes of being given upgrades.

From the viewpoint of Strategic Adviser though. It seems unlikely. SSD has an inbuilt SA(according to article) so it would be overwhelming for it to be able to host the card SA as well.

Endurance is a Canon ship
Wouldn't it be weird to have the "Executor-II Class Star Dreadnought" with an Executor title?
17 minutes ago, svelok said:Wouldn't it be weird to have the "Executor-II Class Star Dreadnought" with an Executor title?
No. There's plenty of precedence for it... Given that ship classes are named often by the first of the line as such...

We already have the Interdictor with the Interdictor title.

Yes - but it's not an Executor - it's a Venator.
So far, only five newcanon Executors have been named:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Executor-class_Star_Dreadnought
Executor itself, the Annihilator , the Arbitrator , the Eclipse , and the Ravager .

Any of those recent additions? This expansion has been in the works for a long time.

Eclipse as an Executor-class was first mentioned in 2016 (Aftermath: Life Debt) - as was Arbitrator. Annihilator as an SSD was first mentioned in 2015 (Darth Vader comics). Ravager also appeared in 2015, in the first Aftermath novel.
