Executor arrives

Calling the overlap rules for ssd now: overlaps ship, place ship b2b like squadron. Overlaps squadrons, just put them on top of ssd

He obviously wasn't talking to the defense tokens.

Blue red anti squadron om the executor II

nice

I think the overlap rules will be you take 1 damage, the enemy ship takes 3 damage. Flotillas get annihilated, other ships can stop the SSD briefly but at a very heavy cost. Displacing ships would probably be unworkable.

I wonder if there will be a rule along the lines of "a huge ship is treated as a Large ship unless a thing specifies otherwise" for the various rules.

I doubt it; the SSD base is huge; you could have ISDs (or even SSDs!) jumping halfway across the table.

Better option would be something like the X-Wing Epic rules; if you overlap a smaller ship it is destroyed, but you roll for damage based on the size of the ship (or the amount of hull it had remaining), and normal rules for other ships overlapping you.

I think i got Pietts effect. I havent figured out the complete wording yet but it goes something like that:

"When a friendly ship spends only a token to resolve a command, you may exhaust this card. If you do, that ship"... (From here my own wording) may basically treat that command as if it had spent a matching command dial."

The third line from the bottom reads "command as if it had spent...."

My new wishlist for this expansion is a revised rulebook, and a Return of the Jedi scenario with superlaser rules. FFG please.

Ok here is a first stab....

400/400 Blockade Run (only joking) Station Assault , Contested Outpost , Dangerous Territory
SSD-CP, Moff JerJerrod , Intensify Firepower, QBTs, Tua, Hondo, Brunson, Advanced Projectors 269
Arquitens CL, DTTs 59
Arquitens CL, DTTs 59
Valen Rudor 13

With Moff JJ and a nav command I can turn the big ship very tightly. With the length of the base though that's quite easy to a*s swipe your fellow ships.

Advanced Projectors with 6 hull zones has got to be worth it and I'll just rely on the double brace rather than ECMs.

I thought about Solar Corona but the immunity to obstacles from Dangerous Territory is appealing.

I was thinking also reinforced hull, this beast is going to ram something.

this probably isn't a good idea. It makes the Jerry SSD even more powerful, and unless the damage is straight to hull (And maybe even then) and SSD can take it. Probably better to just use standard overlap rules, seeing as anything that will block you is in your front arc, and thus liable to be obliterated by it.

It will depend on the amount. If it is 1, 2 and 3, probably you're right. If the SSD suffer as damage cards as the remaining hull points of the destroyed ship then it is quite fun.

+ Kallus amongs its 4 officer slots.

If this expansion has a RotJ scenario I hope they include an official Lando in the Falcon squadron card and an MC-80 variant with fleet command. FFG please.

You could get Battle-of-Borleias type tactics; throwing your SSD at the enemy flagship while firing at everything else; could work spectacularly (taking out an Ackbar MC80 in one go?) or backfire if you can't get there in time and suffer too much damage.

I'm a little bit worried that in play people will get fed up of the model getting in the way and just take it off the board to start with...

Also I'm guessing that extra token by the command tokens is the "I'm skipping my turn" token.

Very unlikely. 200 bucks for rebel players just to get 2 paper cards?

Even the command dials you assign to a Super Star Destroyer become more powerful. When you resolve one of these command tokens, you’ll also assign the corresponding command token to your ship! By getting more impact out of every command dial you assign to the Super Star Destroyer, you’ll be prepared to take on the entire enemy fleet on your own.

I'm confused. Writer's grammar error?

I'm hoping that if any of these new Commander or Officer commands become popular they get included in tournament kits next year - it seems only fair.

If you straight suffer it, a massed hammerhead swarm with no upgrades would be quite fun. I guess part of my point is that pining in place and just taking one damage is the best option for both parties.

You probably won't get there in time, or will kill it natively.

Yeah. Only works when it’s “reveal dial, auto assign token” in effect.

Middle number definitely a 5

Can't stop drooling... How many can I buy before my wife starts noticing?

Has the unique ability to pass its turn... can you put the stat-advisior on it? Or will that be locked to ISDs only?
