Imp officer list

Now that they’ve announced generic officers dual at-st lists are much more viable. Heres one i cobbled together without much thought

That's interesting, since if you had avoided useless upgrades, you would have had the points to deploy Veers.

Estemmed leader: useless, since your troops will be going and get objectives instead of staying near to your officer to guard him. commanding presence would be better.

Coincussion grandes, Emergency stims, imperial officer upgrade- all unnecessary.

General Weiss, and grenade launcher --that's a choice to make, but I prefer simply twin blaster and mortar.

HQ commlink is a must.

With the left points, you can either play veers (as I said) or take another corp unit.

I also see no point in taking the generic officer over Veers, especially in a double ATST list. For 30 Points you get Spotter2, red defence dice, a wound and 3 orders that have an actual impact.

I'd assume the generic officers are for Vader or Boba so they can go ham while the Officer is hiding behind a los-blocker.

Esteemed leader is ok in my opinion in this concept, but I would just equip both the ATSTs in the same way.

Emergency stims, concussion grenades, officer upgrade and HQ uplink are all dead weight.

I would assume that the R4 droid will be really good in a Veers list witzh 2 ATSTs. He can repair and Veers can recover his exausted action (I assume that his repair skill will exhaust):

- Veers, Esteemed Leader, Improvised Orders

- 2 x ATST with Grenade Launcher (Impact will not be a problem with Veers, 2 ATSTs and 4 DLTs. Mortars are just a gimmick if you can consistently kill 4 Troopers per shot with doubleaim and blast. You might need to kill a lot of Troopers in cover to win.)

- 3 x Stormtrooper, 3x DLT 19

- 1 x Stormtrooper, DLT 19, Extra Trooper

If the repair droid is worth it you could swap the extra trooper and maybe improvised orders. I'd say at least 2 Stormtrooper Squads need to stay close to Veers as redshirts. You just need to make sure that your blob clears and holds an area of the board where more than 50% of the objectives are.

For some reason I was assuming the "Re-" ability on the astromech was for Recover and it would help make weapons that exhaust a bit better, but Repair makes more sense. Oh well.
