Best Guesses for Clone Wars Releases

By Animewarsdude, in Star Wars: Legion

People, why do you assume the ratio of operatives and commanders will be the same as for existing factions? Factions get interesting when they start to be very different structurally and play style wise.

What if Republic is going to be commander and operative heavy - not just 3 spread out over a year, but like 8 - and CIS is gonna be thin on them and have lottsa spammy corps units.

Because we have no reason not to assume at least one of every unit type. ?

Cause we're all fanboying over battledroids.

Rex and Cody are great choices for Republic Commanders but the Republic is absolutely spoiled for choice in that regard. Between the various Jedi, Clone Commanders, Senators, "decent" bounty hunters (mostly Sugi, maybe Embo), and even Jar Jar (I just gagged a little typing that), they could make twenty Commander/Operative characters for the Republic before they even had to stretch.

Mostly due to all the named Jedi options. You know, considering every Jedi did have a commander I could actually see them packing in the commander/captain for each with their generals. For the fans....and to pump up the prices a little.

For CIS I'd really love to see Dirge as one really expensive but beastly operative.

There are so many and different kinds of droids they could do and then there's all the fun vehicles.

Also due to my love of the Tartakovsky Clone Wars I'd hold off on Grievous and release him with the Magna Guard.

With his regeneration, he'd be a beast. It might be interesting if a number of bounty hunters like Durge could be used as either an operative or a commander.

The thing is, most stuff would be slightly too big to fit well on the board. Clone wars would work for a slightly smaller scale

Gencon 2019, introducing Star Wars: Battalions "An epic game of large scale war, compatible with X-Wing 2.0!"~

Solely because in the OP I mentioned that I made my list based off the existing release schedule as a framework. I even make note of how they might just surprise us like they did with Boba. At this point I'm just pumped to get news about the new factions. I know someone mentioned that some news would be discussed about the PT factions coming to X-Wing in November, maybe we will get some news then, or maybe we will see something come December to give us our teaser for what will be coming.

loot boxes that come with a random unit

Yeah I know, that's what i'm saying... the next year schedule might be very different. They might even release two commanders at once! XD

Keyforge is a game that is based entirely around having unique decks. You don't build decks, you don't buy booster packs you buy $10 decks that are completely random, you don't get to narrow it down to a playstyle or factions, and rinse and repeat that until you get a deck that works for you. Just don't do too well with it or you'll have to play the game handicapped when using it or it will be 'retired' from official play and you then continue the $10 deck dive until you get another deck. It seems neat for a more casual play or event but its not like it is something balanced, you are just buying $10 lootbox decks and hoping for the best if you plan to play seriously.
